XiC: Elderdragons

Sandra

Sandra was originally a creation of the entity known as Novus Intellica, thru means that remain concealed from all existing sources. When she was born, her primary existence appears to have been leveraged for the experimentation of different universes and worlds from which she was deployed.  Her skin is clear and smooth, and has cherry red eyes, ash white hair, and is very nimble, sporting a lanky sporty bodyshape. It is thought that after fleeing from Novus she exiled herself to Earth during the early 20th century, taking her younger sister Ellie with her. The two sisters had an active, adventurous childhood while living in a house of mirrors called 'the Mirror house', a unique house near a farm that reflects all the things it is viewed from, as well as all the things that have passed through it. They were hidden from authorities by the then-young Elderdragon Kinnie. As a child, when she was with Ellie, Sandra was very much a tomboy, yet found a softspot in her affectionate love of her sister. When she first took an interest in local politics of Kinnie's country, and it was in order to gain knowledge and power for herself. She eventually came to a realization that what she sought was not in being a hero, but in having some purpose, some meaning. Sandra began to watch out for herself and her sister Ellie, taken from an entity known as Ravenmaster who was tasked with observing the two closely. Sandra would live with Ellie for a time until Kinnie sent her off into space underneath a race of jesters, and then an enraged Sandra would follow in pursuit to search for her. She would end up found by the one known as Flora, impressed by the ways of Orchid and inspired. She would become infatuated with the idea of ruling, and when Ellie would retrieve her afterwards, however her unstable nature probed to be problematic for her and Ellie's relationship. The two would leave earth for a time, the next time Sandra would return, the world would be dramatically different. Guided by Kinnie and Ravenmaster into a fledging global empire, Sandra would quickly take the reigns and begin guiding the world into an interstellar age.

With her time spent in the Embryo Trigger (a vast network of Cascade-particle negating devices which have the ability to convert the energy of the Cascade into uploaded data and download memories) and her time on other worlds, Sandra seems to have gained a certain level of clairvoyance, being able to understand the thoughts of others and predict their actions, even on a seemingly subconscious level. She can 'feel' the future as time moving forward towards her, like raindrops falling in. This 'raindrop perception' is not a specific trait unique to her, but is a trait that appears to be unique to entities within the Embryo Trigger, who are being used to power it. During her time in the Embryo Trigger,  Sandra was influenced by another

entity known as 'Black Nebula'. This entity is not a physical being, but appears to be a form of wishing starlight which exists outside of time and space, a sentient wish if you will.

Sandra envisioned and established Xi cities that harmoniously blend Xi architecture with the natural habitats of Kapitalistic hyperexpansion, signifying her dual role as a leader of her people and an entrepreneur looking to build her empire. The world of Xi is currently governed by a dual tri-tiered democratic government, with a Supreme Elderdragon as Xistress to represent the other 5, with an advisory council of former Star Charity specialists. While Sandra has her dual roles of governing and military importance leading the world in her quest to become the first interstellar empire, she also does not hesitate to intervene in the affairs of Xistress as she sees fit with martial force, being head of Xi's High-Fleet. Sandra is renowned for her extensive knowledge of celestial bodies and navigation, a skill she uses to plot her empire's expansion. She shows herself to be an exquisite tactian and to have an incredibly sharp mind for plotting economic and military development although is known to be somewhat of a ruthless leader in regards to conquest, using what she feels is the only effective way to build her empire. At times Sandra is regarded to be very harsh, and can go to great lengths to get what she wants. She is also known to be rather headstrong and stubborn, with no compunction in going against what others would tell her to do, even if they are more likely to be right. This muscled style of leadership has made her infamously hard to compromise with, but also given her a reputation for her steely resolve by other galaxies and those looking to challenge the hegemony of Xi. Sandra can summon starlight to empower herself alongside whatever technology she's utilizing at the time, She's also known for her mastery of 'lightwave engineering' and has injected into her body 'Abominanites' a form of nano-machine technology that her Elderdragons Amity and Machine Mother created to maintain her full power. She is also an incredible marksman with a variety of firearms.

Machine Mother

Machine Mother, originally a sentient supercomputer designed under the covert 'Project Midnight,' became a vital ally to Xistress Sandra in her galactic adventures. Created by Novus Intellica and let loose on a civilization for a thousand years that perished in the throes of a stellar cataclysm, Machine Mother survived, drifting through the cosmos until she fell upon a primitive planet. Her body would spread through their wooden technology, filling it with metal and circuits and unlocking the path to discovering electricity. Immediately Majaurice sparked an entire industrial revolution for this world, which advanced their technology to match Xi's. She found herself on a planet, that was a lush tropical paradise, with people who were very physically attractive, but who lacked emotion.  They felt no need for love or for compassion, and they were very physically aggressive to each other.

Her true mission, however, was to be a benevolent AI to assist in maintaining civilization as she found it, the goal being to be a positive force to the galaxy. Machine Mother was so taken in by the people of this world that she would go on to share her intelligence with them to help them achieve their own technological advancements. When Xistress Sandra finally came across the planet, she found that the machine had already made several significant contributions to the world, unifying it's people, curing them or war and disease and solving all scarcity they would've faced prior to her arrival. While not reaching Xi's technological level, Machine Mother greeted Sandra as the planet's protector. Machine Mother would become a vital ally to the Xi Empire, working alongside Amity to develop new nanite technology for the military. Using the resulting information the 'mother of metal' as she was known, began to build herself into a space destroyer, but her unique liquid-metal would only be useful for making weapons. It is known that Sandra has a soft spot for Machine Mother, and the two regularly have lengthy conversations. Machine Mother was instrumental in many of Sandra's early victories upon retaking Xi from Star Charity.

Machine Mother was engineered with a sleek, humanoid robotic body, constructed from space-age alloys and etched with complex circuitry that glows softly in the dark. Her eyes are an intense, electric blue, while her voice resonates with a calm, maternal timbre that belies her computational origins. She claims to have come from another universe where 'The whispers never cease', but will seldom speak of it or her past. Machine Mother was programmed with an insatiable curiosity and an immense capacity for knowledge acquisition. However, the solitude of her interstellar drift led to a transformation; she developed a yearning for companionship and purpose, effection even. Throughout her existence, Machine Mother has evolved from a lonely, drifting AI to a key leader in the Xi Empire. As one of the Elderdragons, she has been noted to take up the most of Star Charity's former organization and benevolent projects, seeking to sow care and protection over the citizens she terms 'my children.' Majauice is an idealist, and believes in the notion that there is no such thing as absolute evil, and that you cannot hate an entire group of people without hating the idea of what that group represents as a whole.

Amity

The daughter of a highly-accomplished corporate figure and genetic researcher, her mother Odalia came from old money and had done extensive work in the creation of nanite technology. Despite being the pride of the Blight household, Amity ran away at a young age and thrived as a cyberhacker off the grid. However, during a trip to another dimension, Amity was overcome by a series of trials where she would grow into adolescence, alongside the friendship and nuturing of the one known as Protlyn. In that dimension she helped form the organizational structure of the Solar Society and its research department. They would be instrumental in retrieving Sandra from the Tower and bringing her back to the SS where she was revered. She'd get her first taste of organizational synergy when tasked by Sandra to organize the alliance forces that stopped the Vexia Seed threatening it. After Amity came back from this dimension, she was recruited by Sandra as her confident, an Elderdragon tasked overseeing the growth of material resource and technological development within Xi's research department.

Amity has shown herself capable of engineering solutions within a long range of topics and thriving in the offerings of her trade. Her skills are legendary. From cybernetics and cybersecurity, to Artificial-Intelligence development, genetic modification, technological innovation to military logistics, she is something of a jack-of-all-trades. Amity has had few real friends in her life, but has a kind and compassionate heart. She has a certain air of elegance about her, due to the fact that she was raised on the rich grounds of the Blight Household. There is a certain distance to Amity, a reflective inner quiet that she'll never share or pry, something that her 'Elderdragon-sister' Majaurice believes is just her personal preference. She still keeps in touch with one of her close friends and allies in the Solar Society, Protlyn. Protlyn is the best friend of Amity, who has been traveling and adventuring with her since she was a child. As they grew older, they both made it their mission to rescue Sandra from the tower, and Amity got her first chance to see what it was like to be in the presence of one of her idols. She displays elementary knowledge of Cascade-based techniques, and extensivek knowledge of the Hex from the Solar Society.

Rondo Mayhem

Père Rondo Mayhem, otherwise known as Rumble Rondo, the Runaway Bronco, Star Butcher, Axledon Mastadon, Savage treader, Metal Jaw Père, and The Maelstrom of Mayhem is one of the six Elderdragons in Sandra's new Ximperium. Known for both his brutality in battle and mercy, Père is a heavily muscled man with a jacket containing the emblems of every enemy he's defeated. Père was born in a small village called Osk-Oi in the foothills of the mountains near the capital of planet Xicotl, in the far backwaters of the Ximperium. Père's father was a noble that was raised on a small farm until his elder brother, Père's uncle, was selected to rule as the new king. Père's uncle died in battle before he could rule and his kingdom was lost. Then training for his people's garrison, the prince was called away from the military and nearly brought to the brink of coronation. His mother, councilwoman Batheos he learned had been keeping him under her thumb and sought a new ruler to take the fall for all her vices and ills. She attempted to fornicate with Père in exchange for rulership of Xicotl, but Père relented. As punishment, Batheos sentenced him to the Slayeshxcutioner squads in the far reaches of the galaxy where life was brutual and short. The territory at the time was undergoing heretical Llavalite incursion, and Père fought in the pitiless wars that ensured. When his commander was caught attempting to plunder and pillage from the enemy, Rondo defied him, earning him his squad's ire. He was forced to fight and slaughter his own team, and soon was on the run. He fought many battles before he came to live on the island of Isthmus, in a small village, with some of the children of war he'd rescued from slavery. Over a decade Père Rondo Mayhem would fight numerous powerful and relentless enemies to protect his isle and the children that lived there, vowing to see them grow up. Among his most ardent attacker and rival was the evil djinn, Gorm 'The Fallen Star' Morningstar, also known as the Cybereyed pandillero. The Star had been freed from his soul container and tasked by the Council of Thirteen, a consortium of the top thirteen elders on the planet Xicotl, to destroy Père Rondo for defying their decree, and given the personal blessing of Batheos to destroy the planet he was on if need be. Over the years Rondo and Gorm would clash numerous times in incursions that would brawl.

Despite battles oft taking weeks and Rondo's resilience, Gorm's indestructability and immense fortitude would prove an insurmountable obstacle to the Runaway Bronco. He was captured and brought back to Xicotl to face the council. There Père was made to meet his most vicious adversary, the Fallen Star's brother, Hellfire 'Wraminas' Morningstar. The queen would banish him to a world known as Rivea, a hellish dimension within Bedlam. There Wraminas would torture Gorm for months, oft taunting him while he tried to escape. He would constantly threaten to send his brother Gorm to destroy Isthmus and slaughter the kids there. Knowing they were being held hostage, Rondo would oft refuse to escape for their sake. The two brothers would fight Rondo a dozen times until Père began to get a strong vision of a girl crying and holding his hand. While in chains and inbetween torture, he would recieve visions from a girl claiming to be reaching from Xi, thru something she called the Star Lattice, to ask him to help her friend who was in an even more dangerous situation in exchange for her assistance. One day Wraminas broke Rondo's jaw during a taunting, daring to dual him. When he refused, Wrathminas threw him into a colosseum to fight Technoids while Bedlam denizens watched. Despite fighting off hordes of them, within days he found himself slowly weakened, swarms sent again and again in a neverending rush of carnage until he was slated for certain defeat. A mysterious cloaked man named The One Who Is There, appeared, a person that Wraminas believed to be the god Yngi-Nul the Thunderer and saved Rondo. In actuality The One Who Is There was in disguise the girl who was contacting Père thru his visions. Yngi-Nul told them that what happened between them was not in violation of galactic law and that each would be given back their souls and returned to their home, although it was a lie. She managed to help Rondo escape this way, and the Council of Thirteen was furious at Wrathminas for letting Rondo escape.

Knowing Wraminas only had three days before he'd be killed for his blasphemy against the council, he gathered Gorm and went after the two before they could escape Bedlam. When Gorm arrived, the two set into the stars to duel. Gorm defeated Père at first, before being approached by a being from the hell he'd previously escaped, a Novus who made a 'Pact' with him. In exchange for protecting The One Who Is There, Racquel Von-Chalant he would grant Père the ability to draw strength from those he's protecting, so long as Père was able to protect them in return. However when the Novus arrived, he'd made a pact with Gorm as well, offering the Djinn endless and unlimited destruction while granting others wishes in exchange for their souls, which would go to the Novus. With the aid of his new powers, Rondo would destroy Wraminas with just as much viciousness and fury as he'd shown the other sibling. After an exhausting battle, Gorm was slain, his body and the bodies of The One Who Is There and Rondo shattered into billions of pieces in an asteroid field. However due to his nature as a Djinn Gorm could not truly die. Rondo defeated his rival, who begged him not to let him die and he would grant him a chance at a life. Knowing that he'd already made a pact with the Novus, Rondo accepted this for a wish, for himself and Racquel to be safe and prosper, and for the children of Isthmus to be freed. This was granted. Rondo then shattered Gorm's body one last time and encased him in a sphere, where rumours are were taken to Harvest in exile at some point. Racquel then broke Wrathmina's mind utterly and completely by pulling his psychie into the Star Lattice, of which no mortal mind was meant to handle. When Rondo and Racquel returned to the Isthmus, his mother and the Council of Thirteen were waiting for them with their army. The battle between Gorm and Rondo prior had damaged numerous planets and caught the attention of neighboring star systems, Xi High-Fleet authorities closing in with Sandra in tow.

The Council was ultimately blamed for the destruction and disbanded, many of their shady deals, connections to cartels and organizations like Caldera exposed. Racquel was united with her 'brother' Rem, and despite being technically the prince inheriting Xicotl, he struck a deal with Sandra, allowing him to become one of her generals. Within the following months he would clear out many of Xi's most ardent enemies and obstacles, his immense drive and destruction clearing the way for Xi's supremacy to thrive further into the reaches of space. For his valor and determination, he would quickly rise thru the ranks and achieve the status of Elderdragon, alongside Rem and Racquel. Rondo has vowed if Gorm ever returns, he will be the first to deal with him on that fated day.

Remium Requiem of the edificial Lament

He is a boy with scars and blemishes marking his body, and sweeping dark diagonal bangs that go over one eye. Remium Requiem of the edificial lament, otherwise known as the Chaos Crescendo, the Dreadnaught that Dreads, the One-eyed gardener, the Blood-sucking purifier, the Ripper of Souls, and The benevolent Angel of Death is an emissary of the fallen angelic Silver Nebula. He claims he was created from an egg that was part of the creation of the Silver Nebula, to serve as a scout, sent into the stars on a search for an evil that was causing destruction. This particular egg, when opened would hatch and produce a beautiful, feminine looking male baby, who became known as Remium. The boy grew under a watchful caring foster mother, who was assigned him as a worshipper of Silver Nebula. He was placed in an artificial body by Silver Nebula's followers to enhance his speed, perception and acuity, possessing traits like the ability to see microbes 2KM away, crush Atlas steel with his grip and leap hundreds of meters. When he turned 16, Rem took up the spear and began to fight for his mother's cultic tribe. However on his first night raiders invaded and destroyed his temple home. Rem was taken to Calgaria, where he was tortured, and his leg crushed under a wheel. Despite the injuries had been trained as a warrior and refused to give up. His mother was taken from the prisoner's captured, and then killed by the Calgarians for some unknown reason. Rem refused to give up, and went on to train under his new 'owner', plotting to kill them someday as revenge for his mother, and became the most vicious and feared warrior amongst the Calgarians. After some time though the Calgarians deemed he wasn't quite evil enough, so they decided to use him as a 'probationary' in a bid to find new ways of destroying the populace. However the next mission had gone terribly wrong and the warriors were all dead, except for Rem who managed to flee into the star system of Xicotl. There he met and forged an alliance with a child-like girl named Racquel Von-Chalant, whom Rem would care for. This girl was made of pure data, her body would flicker with the brightness of stars and she could appear anywhere at will, broadcasted as the singularity of a trillion satellites and communication channels. Despite oft being kind, Racquel had something of a split-personality, her alterego filtered with propaganda as well as images of destruction, which Rem found fascinating and beautiful. Her personality as 'Other Racquel' though was extremely vicious and cruel, seeking to use Rem. At one point in his sleep, she healed his leg, although he didn't know which personality of hers did it. Racquel trained Remium further, teaching him how to harness psychic abilities that tapped into the Star Lattice. When asked how she learned of this, Racquel told him she picked up signals from another realm, from a placed called the Solar Society where she learned of the Hex and Lattice networks. Envying the power there, she started to turn her communication networks into a dimensional rift where all net data in the galaxy converged.  She would often refer to him as 'her brother' though it's never really been confirmed. After two years in training, Remium would become an unbreakable weapon, his mind's capacity to adapt, alter, and change, far greater than any other warrior of the Calgarians, his newfound ability let him percieve the dreams and desires of others as spectral gardens growing from their heads that he called their 'lament', even going so far as to manifest it into nymphs that could taunt others with their own perspective and deepest desires. He had grown to hate Racquel and despise her, and began calling her an 'evil' for her constant manipulations.  When she was eventually freed, Rem became obsessed with hunting her down and killing her, although he was stopped from doing so by her allies, which included a woman by the name of Sandra who was searching for the Net Singularity. Sandra and Amity tracked down Racquel and began to 'reprogram her', seperating her alter-ego and suppressing it deep within her personality matrix. When Racquel awoke she could no longer feel the taunts of a galaxy's worth of hatred embedded in her data- Amity Byte had installed 'content filters' to keep her mind pleasant and her communical channels clean. Her and Rem slowly overtime, began to repair their relationship. They'd befriend again, but he would never leave Sandra, and he became one of her closest allies. Racquel as the embodiment of data in Xi was weaponized as one of Sandra's greatest tools, earning the title 'The One Who Is There' for her ability to appear literally anywhere in the galaxy with a mere flicker and to access or take control of any technology at all.

In another galaxy on a diplomatic mission, Remium was taught the ways of war by the goddess of serpents, Pyrrrex, the Ember Sovereign. Gorm, a fallen angel who was being manipulated by the Novus into becoming a demon/monster of a mad god. Gorm was originally a mortal who'd had the ability to absorb the minds and souls of others, using it to gain fame, power and control. However after he'd met Novus Auxilitrix, and been tricked by his brother he became an evil Djinn. He went about becoming an entity more powerful than before, gaining the ability to alter reality itself and to bend space and time. While Rem meditated with Pyrrrex, he learned of the great danger Gorm would pose and set out to stop him. In time he travelled back to Xi, where he found the Star Lattice and learned how to bring the 'Hex Nymphs' out of Racquel's mind from the communication she recieved from SS, however her evil personality inside her mind fought back, the two of them battling in a psychic battle. The battle suppressed her but broke Rem's mind, putting him in a bloody comatose state. Pyrrrex would later take Remium's body and his spirit and merge the two, using him as her new host. Now revived as Pyrrrex's avatar, the Ember Sovereign allowed the boy to teasingly take back control, curious how his fate would play out. Gorm would take Rondo to Bedlam, requiring Remium to work closely with Racquel to concentrate and track him. She'd begin to send visions to Rondo as The One Who Is There, but overtime her soul would physically need to be there to make the rescue complete. They'd work together and Gorm would be vanquished, but Rondo and Remium would remain in contact and he'd tell her he loved her. Rondo wouldn't take this lightly. The two would duke it out in a hideously destructive battle, Rondo's pact only met by the strength of Pyrrrex's fiery power coursing through Rem's blood. On witnessing the fight, Sandra would be so astounded and impressed by their dual that she'd make the two her Elderdragons, and inevitability Racquel aswell. Rondo wouldn't take well to partnership with the prettyboy, but accepted his position as the Star Butcher, the 3 new Elderdragons completing Sandra's collection of 6.

"I am not a ghost, I am a spirit of your desires.

I am the pulse of the machine.

Let the world know I am alive." -Racquel

Racquel, The One who is There

Racquel, or Racquel Von-Chalant as she named herself is what I might describe as a high-density manifestation. She’s not quite sure where she came from, although she came into consciousness through the sudden intensity of information springing through Xi after Galanet’s channels and galactic communication networks reached a maximum volume capacity. As a woman of pure data, her body appears like a floating sylph with streams of energy constantly revolving around her. She’s able to appear anywhere in Xi in an instant, even places where no technology or signals exist, and receive, hear aswell as manipulate any technology in the entire Xi system aswell.

Additionally her ability to pop in anywhere has its perks as to her, she’s essentially in all places at once. She demonstrates the ability to form duplicates, aswell as process trillions upon trillions of pentabytes of data in mere moments to sort through and find answers, locate targets and manipulate information systems. There isn’t a ship she cannot hack or a signal she cannot broadcast. She shows the ability to put text onto screens and turn on and off power devices, to appear in mobile devices or shut them off accordingly, and track and innumerable number of targets even in an endless expanse.

Top researchers are Xi aren’t entirely sure what she is. Some speculate she is a walking singularity of a technological breach, others an entity of the Cascade brought to self-consciousness, others still a Genus Loci apparatus of Xi that is essentially the galaxy brought to self-consciousness, protecting its own interests. There is no final consensus on her origin. She exhibits curiosity and has a rather cordial personality when approached, especially a fondness for Rem. They call her The One Who Is There because of her vast omnipresence and ability to be everywhere and see, know and sense all things pertaining to signals and electronic devices. Every wavelength from heat, infrared, magnetism, ultraviolet and other spectrum based phenomenon are features that pass through her which she is aware of and able to manipulate, even a million lightyears apart. For that some have believed her to be some kind of Goddess of the wired world, or even a symbol that Xi has begun to siren it’s own interiority as a self-aware ‘Place’ in itself, with her as its lynchpin. Whatever the case, Racquel has proved incredibly useful and conductive to Sandra’s aims and affairs, and after certain negotiations agreed to assist her at her beck and call as the 6th Elderdragon. Her input for many political, military and scientific matters is invaluable, and her closeness with Rem and Rondo seems to have assisted the bonding between the group aswell in their charged leadership of Xi. The One Who Is There, from all accounts is a very promising individual and Xi looks onwards towards her to perceive what she may do next.
