Enchantra Boarding School Concept

Enchantra Boarding School - A boarding school in the Solar Society that hides an unseeable cloak to a sorcery academy. The school is 300 years old and houses numerous marble ruins, fountains and respects the mysticism of different cultures. They train 'Wardens' who possess one of six types of elemental magic. Every professor assigned takes on exactly 6 students and mentors them on their path to magical discovery and personal growth, although the ability to learn magic is largely left up to them. The Celestial Society is a magical with many races and close ties, sending many of its brightest children and political/wealthy elite to Entrantra to be trained as Wards themselves. Countless magical creatures exist in the Celestial Society from centaurs, to elven races, Sympias, Meryl, Harpy, Unicats among many others, and they often find their way to the school. The EBS is located in a region of the Solar Society called the Desolate Mire, it houses students from the Celestial Society primarily although a small fraction from the SS manage to be allowed in every year. There is no permanent principal but an acting Ward Weiss (White Warden) is chosen every year. Hosting for her 5th year as a Ward Weiss is Mrs. Mannerly, the sharp, slick and savvy Professor of 6 girls of about 21.
There are 132 students and 22 classes in EBS. Each class is assigned a Professor and 6 students in a Hex formation, taught a main track assignment which covers the 6 elements, and a specialty track which is on that professor's choice or specialty - Mannerly's is on fashion and metamorphic spellcraft. The sigma mandate is a rule in the EBS that declares to graduate a track (one a year), a student must do so alongside their 5 other 'classmates' for each Teacher. If even one doesn't pass their grades and test, the entire hexagonal group is held back, and the teacher demoted, essentailly making it so individual students but whole classes can pass or fail. Miss Mannerly has never once failed to pass her set. When June was accepted into the school put into one, her classmates detested her because they believed a clueless human would easily fail the rest of them.
Sol Les Heights (WenigerHöhen) - Höhen is a large castle surrounded by a moat and an eerie cliffside. The weather there is usually overcast and it's thought to be quite grimey, compared to the usual colorfulness of the Celestial Society marketplaces, schools and palaces. It's lead by Lord Sol (The title of the Mara family who've ruled it for generations, irregardless of gender), and the "Lord of Light" is seldom seen outside their castle. The Crow Clan lives there, those in gasmasks, dark hoods, feathers and crow-beak shaped plague masks roam about the streets along with other sulking blacksmiths, rogues and unsavory sorts. Few have ever mistaken Höhen for a very happy or cheerful place. This year around there seem to be Christmas lights, new colorful decorations and festivals up, which is rather unusual. Sol Les Heights has important historical progress with the Celestial Society, once hosting their enemies, the heirs of the Queen and distributing them to Hex-borne states, predominately undersea among the Meryl.
Emilia - A highborn Ara (Clan of humanoids blessed with the Ram Pact within the exclusive Zodiac nobility, wealthy and prestigious in the Celestial Society) , Emilia was born with a silverspoon in her mouth and poised to succeed from a young age. Like her clan's namesake, she has two tendencies, firstly to charge and nitpick at people in a condescending way, and secondly to grow easily tired and 'sleepy' with those that bore her. She's rather spoilt but by no means unintelligent, known for her acumen and quick wit. She wears a dark-grey fleece with a tunic, maroon tights, short pink hair and pale skin. She wears an amulet with an Aries symbol. Her element of study is Thunder- giving her a large intuition of weather patterns, wind, air, temperature, how electrical systems work and magic related to it.
When June first arrived, Emilia was a bit of a snob and bully towards her, but the two since befriended and eventually started to date. Her selfish condescending qualities are less selfish, but she patronized June somewhat for being a human born student believing June knows less than her (technically true, but still!) about the Celestial Society and as her girlfriend she needs to be over-protective and proactive at all times.
June Ivy - June was thrust into the Celestial Society when she found a magical gemstone that spoke to her, guided her and helped her unlocked her magical powers by teaching her of the Hex. She ran away from home and started attending Enchantra Boarding School to become a ward. Despite being slow and clunky to learn at first, White Ward Miss Mannerly vouched for her and took her as her personal student. Ivy's elemental is earth, which includes plant magic, manipulating wood and flowers, knowledge of roots, herbs, tonics, fungi and an intuition of living systems. She's very laid back and casual, trying to hide any stress that comes to mind. June wasn't well liked back at her old school and that trend continued at Entrantra's for a while, she had to fight her laid back nature hard in order to learn plant enchantment and earn her classmates respect. She has tanned skin, dark brown hair and a cream toned hoodie, jeans and a belt. June carries around her cellphone and interests in modern appetizers, like netflix, social media and pop music. She tries hard to care for others and earn their care in turn, rather than be cast as an outsider.
Ja-Uke - Nicknamed "Juju" or "Ju" by her friends, From the Eastern Providences of Maiosha (Cambodia roughly), Ja-Uke's family are a clan of yeti descended people. She is humanoid with blue hair but a bit short, but has white fur around her neck and black nails which can extend into claws, often she can be seen wearing 6 traditional hairpins, poking thru her beanie. Ja-Uke tends to be mischevious and playful, she loves to play pranks on her classmates and tricks amuse her. Her element is water, and she's quite skilled at manipulating ice when in the air. She initially didn't like June because she considered her "Dull", but after was won over June got accustomed to her style and pulled one over her (Putting red hair-dye in her icecube bed, after learning Yeti people cannot see Red). Ju can be a bit scatter brained at times, able to hold about as much attention as water sometimes. She and Emilia are close because they've passed 2 different grades together before when assigned the same Hex.
Hazel - A human from Celestial Society with ancestry of magical creatures, mystical abilities swim thru her blood. But she's quite mild mannered and humble herself, and loves spicy food. Pale yet freckled and ginger haired, her element is fire. She usually wears a scarlet-white striped T-shirt, leather shorts and leggings. Hazel considers June a friend and sees her forwardness as an excuse to let her guard down a little.
Marilyn Aquila - A Meryl, her people are aquatic, forward and usually overly friendly. Her skin is blue and she possesses gills, big wide eyes, bulging cyan lips and pastel purple hair. She needs to be hydrated often on land so is usually seen drinking a cup with a straw attached, like a typical teenager. Marilyn relates to June in that although Meryl are common in the Celestial Society, they're often stereotyped as klutzy, hyperactive annoying 'guppyswarms.' There's some truth ot it, as Marilyn is quite talkative and doesn't always accept social cues well, her friendliness can grate on some of her peers sometimes. The element she's assigned is Light, and she studies it vigorously. The properties of the spectrum, of different wavelengths and how light operates, how it passes  thru surfaces, all of it's magical applications are her area of expertise. Marilyn wears a slick tight orange-blue swimsuit that has spanxs, tons of bracets, shoulder sleeves and meshnet along her back. She carries a trident wherever she goes. Her pronouns are Mer/Merself- not for herself, but she refers to others that way, as part of Meryl dialect and speech. She doesn't expect others to refer to as such or use her people's pronouns (In fact doing so when you're unfamiliar with a Meryl is seen as disrespectful and overly-forward in her culture), but June often does so anyway making her a very happy fish. Others, like Emilia or Melanie doing it to cheeky carry a connotation of rudeness.
Hanna - An elven girl from Celestial Society, her father is an important politian. She detests that she was sent to Enchantra Boarding School for her families clout and expresses it often, her scruffy dyed jet-black hair growing overboard like a llama's. Her element is Life, and she studies animal husbandry, birds, livestock and related magic. She's absent on the day that they take this trip, which isn't too rare - Hanna is skipping class or avoiding work any chance she gets. She's indifferent and intolerant to most things, a mopey goth who bemoans her lot in life with little agency or choice.
Melanie - She is an extremely well-to-do resident of WenigerHöhen and the next candidate in line for the title of Lord of Light, currently her mother.
