Tower Compendium: Forward

Forward

22 decades, 49 weeks, 7 days. I can hardly recognize the blotches across my face as I write thru these pages. Approximately 13 helix-rotation springtimes ago the Kaleidoscope Premier herself, in all her pale complexion and colorful lips asked me to edit the update compendium of this succinct archive. The start of it's jotting was approximately 139c rotations around the gravitational hemisphere of the wayward 'Hadron Kollidoscope cluster' by a brilliant student researching in the department of non-Euclidean paradimensional studies. Their metamorphosis into the object of their examinations along their research wielded a five century pause on the classical work-in-progress. After much debate over the hypocritical stability of non-Euclidean dimensionality and related spacial areas, then deemed an existential hazard by the phenomenological authorities of the luddite anti-magic period of [198271-82], restrictions on such literature began to lift. A young librarian opening up the then-fledging Solar Dancing Circuit, now perpetuated by the historical Solar Society department, in their scholastic guild revived a new metaphysical enlightenment for the investigations of both transformed consciousness and transformative properties of obscene magical activity, including of the non- Euclidean variety.

Now with more advanced methods, the SDC developed no-longer-naive inscriptions of these fantastical other-worldly features and phenomenon, much of which is documented in these chapters. The Kaleidoscope Premier, whose role was of but a charitable auxiliary interest at the time, has since become known for her presence around the spacial horizon of the 'MΓΆbius Dominion' (Sacred Tower in elvish), and contributed much in broadening our perspective. Miss Ellie's invaluable brief interviews, jokes, puns, quips, ukulele campfire songs, and the personal works lent have granted us insight like never before on both systemized magikΓΆlogy and the logic of transcendental entities, furthering the sum knowledge of all realities and how these entities affect matter and life in all their lucid diversity .

This 50K edition you hold currently has numerous additions and constitutive analyses on material not covered in the work's publishing 5 centuries since. To consider the discovered unities of the aura-bound tower's interior and their relation to the changed intelligibility of passive, transmuted, assimilated lifeforms is to no longer draw the line in the sand between passive agents, be they innocent travelers, thrillseekers, thieves and so-called adventurers, and the radically new forms they undergo. From the time since the book's original publishing, the dualist theory of 'Majik nicht von Dinglichkeit' has long gone out of fashion, as intelligible signification of the changed has progressed to reveal stylistic expression, value in human labor and revealed emotional riches that were found to be missing in previous reportings. The idea of 'part of me, part of you' has gained much traction, superseding the idea of victims as idle curiosities, and restoring dignity to the methods of the transformative and lived experiences of their end products. Their relations, beliefs, and works, atemporal as they may be, prove on all levels with no prejudices to be as valuable and constituent as life in the privileged position, equally valuable as those unaltered. As of now the surface area of the observed superstructure of the MΓΆbius Dominion stretches 3.7 million miles within the interior, whereas the exterior height remains superfluous from the onset, since it maintains whatever identity fits the geographic landscape and culture of its located setting. The exact number of entities it holds is inestimable, although the content of language and speech within seems to be unified through an unknown enchantment, prompting a common tongue.

The transformed nature of its very horizon forces us to confront the limits of knowledge in the on-Euclidean, with Miss Ellie being the sole proprietor of sensori-priori content that maps out its topography properly. When asked to draw a map by cartographers, she in earnest tongue expressed "It's a shaped little bit like a Tiki Dancer bowling with a plate of spaghetti! If you ever get lost, just think about where you weren't! Most people try to recall where they were last, ballyhoo! I'm saying, you have to think where you definitely were not!" The mystification aside, we mediate on limited solutions and accept we're further along, yet as far as we're ever going to get to understanding its extra-spatial formations.

In writing this and facilitating its modes of literary production, we of the Solar Society's historical pedigree and our solemn tradition hope not to impose egotistical ideals nor moral concerns on the documented entities contained within. Afterall who are we to tell you the reader how to abstract the Tower's phenomenon? Perhaps you'll cease your anxieties in another lifetime, or find relief/release within a new consciousness. The liberty of spirit can no longer be judged by transformations in consciousness nor accede no truth to the ethics of strictly nature-bound mechanisms, aided by only our understanding of temporal observations. Under no facile terms do we present to adulating or capitulation to these entities observed earlier, despite baseless criticisms of temptations on the part of those who deprive enjoyment from such activities, whom we render no judgement either. Nevertheless, we must pay tribute to those that have worked countless tireless nights flowering these pages and setting themselves against the phantoms of the MΓΆbius. (Sometimes, literal phantoms) A high count of bodies and researchers, not adulating to safety precautions, were lost from their previous positions and were transmuted into research subjects of further study, their sacrifice is commended. In tribute of the Solar Society ex-members, those with eligible properties of social production have been transferred to their families and loved ones, gifting servitude, protection, fashion lines, valuables and even newfound partners of now-privileged positions, as a means of compensation and not exploitation of man by man.

In concluding this book forward, it's all so exciting. The mysteries of nature's negation are still of constituted significance to us, we await further evidence of what we pursue and the authentic origin of all its meaning and value. We're more and more convinced that the way forward for us will be a brand new way of existing in an alternate manner. There are other people in various departments who aren't so sure of that and don't want us to take any sort of action or even study the MΓΆbius Dominion's entities, nor work with Miss Ellie. They're still clinging to old ideals of the past because it is so much safer than to confront their ignorance, or the obstacles to positive research in phenomagical sorcery . If they don't start to transform their views now, it may be too late when they get to their final destination and arrive here for themselves. On that note, the phenomenon documented here is chronicled for all to see, which we hope fundamentally unfolds brand new perspectives along the horizon for the learned future to come. Tower bless.

The Tower of Godhood

How do we explain the structure of the MΓΆbius Dominion with adequate Fanfare? Much lengthy debate has occurred addressing the subject, we will try to digress with the lengthy diatribes about the layman's methodology, the difficulty of explanation is mostly external noise from less discerning departments.

It is possible to imagine a building in the land of a world, of a non-specific material, a strange conviction-filled substance that assumes the shape of a roofless tower, as a magical structure that resembles a structure of power for its native culturally shaped signifiers. Pyramids, clock towers, nuclear power plants, cathedral, all institutions meant to exhibit vast, resourceful centers of conscious activity and with that activity, the ability to bring together the various peoples of this land towards it. It is possible that in this context the tower does not mean a real structure but a metaphysical one, built to contain the magic of that realm, rather even a reflection of what is already exhibited in imagery by higher magic. An umbra of sorts casted over physical space. How then is this structure still seen by those in basic terms as a Tower?

The magical cartographers have an explanation on how the physical dimension can be perceived through the magical cartographic coordinates. This can be seen as not a specific coordinate in space-time, but a vector of consciousness that contains active rudimentary fantasies per a living being's expectations. Belief essentially, which is why it's fairly surprising that this conviction-substance takes any shared appearance at all. One expects to find religious meaning in a cathedral, and so such is produced within a church. When a church is erected, the conviction-substance of 'religion' or 'faith' is flowed out and generated from said church the instant one recognizes its form as such. This principle is important in that this Tower multidimension and its physical properties are not merely just different for the observer's perception, that perception itself resurfaces and changes the structure of the tower and the floors within it. It was said that once Ellie believed the Tower to have a sort of "basement floor" for a long period of time, when magical instruments could not observe its presence, and yet obscure findings did confirm this esoteric location as actually-existing theoretically. When a laborious session was called to correct Ellie's beliefs that this tower was non-existent, the result effectively vanished any traces of this location from existence. And yet it's commonly understood not to have been truly erased, but placed outside a noumenal plane kept afloat from all but the outlier of it's mere acknowledgement. It is the same in the same situation for softly weighted entities, on a nano-scale; if Ellie's consciousness is a tall mountain landmark on a map, regular individuals are small grooves and stumps, with significant ones being hills in the cartography.

In the mental space of the cartographic coordinates of the paraspacial, time is a linear measure that does not exist. Interactions and perceptions of time between vertical floors are something of a farce. The Tower, in its blessed knowledge is described as a sort of conscious medium, one that over-determines directing physical exchanges and transmissions to the appropriate time. It simply "knows" when individuals from different floors and sections are to exist and interact. The phrases "Trust me" or "I have a plan '' take on a pedagogical meaning of understanding, everything within the tower embodies a certain Fate, and this fate is tied with Ellie's perfect stream of consciousness, whether she's aware of it or not. The dimension of the material world outside with physical properties has just its own temporal duration separate from the inside.

We can make an analogy with shadow puppetry. One can form shapes with simple coverage of photonic dispersal, and these shapes are entirely the absence of light upon a surface. And yet, these shapes have no weight, mass nor physical dimensions, they are merely a void, a register of a lack in the continuum of illumination. Imagine that a dimension of the mind would be a dimension of the psychic plane and the dimension of the body would be another one. But we cannot make a dimension of thought, much like the shadows lacking physical properties of reality cannot exist in the same way they could with the material world. As such, it cannot be argued that the Tower is a real place. It is a polydimensional construct made up of many places and seams many dimensions within its non- Euclidean formation.

The idea of a "Place" is a powerful notion, since it can be tied to a physical location, as well as an abstract construct of some sort absent of any locality. There is no need for a building to have a place for instance, it could simply be a concept and place itself could in turn be a 'construct' that might be tied to whatever it is that we associate with a place- most commonly individuals, but also narrative ties, religions, cults, dense cultural centers and on rare occasion magical density. Sometimes even a belief or chant itself can form a place, often tied with magical forms (See Mantra for further elaboration).

There is a material in the language of the Tower's belief powered construction, of course, but the more it appears as a physical building ‘material’ with a specific shape, the more precisely does it not seem to belong or have any semblance of conventional matter. Research has exhausted the means to explain the exact workings of the emergence of this matter and its relation to the clownscious subject. The concept of a ‘subject’ in general is, atleast to my professional eyes, a false illusion, a non-essential element of any action I engage in. Each individual is a series of physical components and mental strata that exist along predetermined vectors of phenomenological queries. The word I use to describe it is ‘substance’, which is expounded upon later, for I believe it to be a kind of impassive thing that has no sense and can not be touched, but can be carried, multiplied and radiated much like fundamental matter is along a mental spatial domain. Fantasies, ideologies, ideals and cultural elements ripe for symbolic performativity. It's believed many of these take on a higher density within the Tower simply because Ellie's attachment gravitates towards some substances more than others- this has been well studied, and established as a baseline explanation why certain tier of technology, architecture, government structure and fashion have been more common in the Tower than others. The down to earth standard medieval kingdom is the most frequently expressed cultural set of societal structure, with higher degrees of magic and technology rising in statistical rarity.

Because of the well-studied abundance of these primitive cultures and their archetypal generation, most have been excluded from the Solar Society's department research on non- Euclidean deviations. Those locations determined to be attributable outliers are thus the bedrock of different cultural societal features which constitute our research.

Substance (SUBSTANTIA) is the general name given to the material of which these unique dimensional bodies are composed. Substance may be defined as “that which cannot be resolved into parts and which therefore continues, though the things in which it is contained change”. All substances are excluded from the set of deductive consciousness by virtue of being unlike other substances in their changing, shifting nature- in one dimension within the Tower we spoke to an entity known as 'the sun', and found it's normally hydrogen based combustion was lacking, because the inhabitants believed their sun was powered by a tribal ritual known as 'The raising of the spheres', and had no concept of nuclear fusion or hydrogen. It's the most common set of material found in cultural anomalies, empirically speaking. Magic cannot work directly on it (altho proxy methods are later discussed) typically.

To the contrary, materia (MATERIAL; that which is matter that can be resolved into parts, hence, the passive material) is an inert belief-material, or in dull terms simple matter devoid of belief, in the sense that it is not capable of assuming different forms to the observer, but only remains the same, in whatever form assumed by the native culture. Substances are therefore of a much more active nature than materia. In fact, they are not only active but also energetic, in the sense that they give rise to many changes and transformations. These changes have repercussions on the surface and on their forms, and thus may be observed and measured. It is precisely on the surface that the energy and transformation of the substance is released and becomes effective. At this surface, the substance transforms not only materia but other substances in volatile reactions. To give some examples, wood to metal, flesh to porcelain, organic chemistry to synthetic robotics, and even the transmutation of supernatural entities are possible. This is known as "metamorphosis" and it affects all living things, including the structure of the body and state of their mind.

Materia without Substance, possesses no ability to drastically transform and alter its own basic constitution in this way. Most Materia-centric floors do have lower usages of magic, with less potency, exotic forms and far less distinct belief in magic. The usage of sorcery as a common misconception would appear an exception as Materia, but this is blatantly untrue- forms of sorcery follow their own active principles and are observable by systemized magikΓΆlogy, and have translatable scientific parallels, i.e. the "Magic is a studied weird'' notion. Substance would appear to be transcendental to even conventional magic. Cretors and many Tower Entities when observed under emagipirical instruments, for instance do not read any output in terms of mana or high-energy magical particles and scan as regular nonmagical entities. Materia, like magic, primarily requires studying the interaction between a set of physical laws, whereas Substance follows its determinations based on 'unconscious' subjects. The study of substance would be of little use in this respect, as it is not a natural, or physical, magic nor science. In summary, substance is only a relative term in relation to the beliefs of the Tower's constituents and how that belief takes on an active effect.

Let's digress for a moment.

The world around us is not a random matter, is it? There's order and beauty, all around. But this order, this beauty is merely a value judgement. A belief, systemized to the physical world. To believe that a rotting apple grows from the spring of beauty and plenty that which we covet to extract nourishment, is all it takes to render that belief present. Within the Tower, we see that to a more far lasting set of effects.

The effects of 'Substance' and its transmutations, from one body to another, from one form to the next, do not constitute perfection or some enlightened sense of nirvana. Real magic recognizes this, and Substance-transfigurations, from entire floors and kingdoms to detailed physical transformations are still subject to the flaws of reasoning and belief. Beliefs can be ugly, mental forms can take on horror and atrocious ideals of their own, all which can become reality in the blink of an eye. For this reason, substance is as corruptible as the consciousness of those who thread it. For this reason, field researchers are often tested rigorously for cognitive vulnerabilities and enchanted manipulations.

There's a limit to how much Substance can be pushed. Think of it like trying to get a glass orb to move faster and faster thru quicksand when you use more and more force to do it. Conscious thought moves slowly through the mire, guilty as charged to extended experimentation proving the mind is a fickle mistress. Attempting to "Believe in belief" or force substance, changing the nature of one's own mind, we've found to be remarkably ineffective. Even under psychic manipulations and magical effect, a forced change in mental state could not yield any change in Substance to alter the course of reality itself- this stands in clear contrast to subjects enchanted without intending to do so for an observation experiment, which very much can qualify towards a substantial movement. This contradictory principle is theorized to be proof that intentionality is non-localised, yet present in the workings of Substance. Using magic to natively manipulate another's mind on its own merit can empower belief and change materia as long as knowledge of this effect is not intentional, but efforts to do so in order to change reality by proxy are doomed to fail, and the full extent of this remains an enigma.

This is all part of the so-called "Quantum carnival belief" theory, developed by Porkenhorden H. LΓΆhmein, which seems to be the current view. I don't think that theory has been put to the full test yet, but it sounds very plausible from an explanation of current evidence.

In this way the paraspacial domain of the Tower functions in some more like the physical, in the sense that it has constraints to biology, ecology, and topography. In one instance a floor's kingdom believed themselves to have the richest harvest, which grew the natural environment into a thriving ecosystem. After their decline, the lack of citizenry dried the floor of any such beliefs and within a single season the land was reduced to a lifeless wasteland of rubble and decay. The topographic map was also altered, and its dimensional position within the Tower changed, falling within other Materia-heavy floors. It seems that for the substance involved, the paraspacial functions as a singularity of all subjects. The idea of being an anomalous point is not a new notion, in fact the term “point” was referring to a location that is not a physical point. “Being an anomalous point is nothing new”, is the way to conclude, as for the past two hundred thousand years of Magical Cartography, all worlds are organized in a mental map as a collection of belief-centric points. This has been the proposed explanation for why Floors in the tower tend to form patchwork densities, coinciding with other floors of a similar culture and shape as them. The phenomenon of 'convergence' has also been observed, in which the separate beliefs of two or more floors converge and due to this, the floors themselves merge realities as if they were continental shelves. We do believe these floors to be physically connected in nested, vein-like ways of circulation that are hazardous to travel, leading travelers to end up on different vertical points in the Tower . There have been noble attempts to record these pathways, but in the case of the paraspacial, the "Artery model" collapses. The material topology of the Tower's many physical worlds has the properties of a map, but this map ultimately does not represent a geographical region, it is only organized in time and space around sets of common beliefs and the occasional anomaly. To believe a floor is located at the very "bottom" is to make that belief a fact.

In concluding this section, the final effect of the Tower and its substance begins with its native inhabitants but does not end with them. The place in some way, has an eternal power, or a temporal power, over those who can and are able to connect to it. Where one has gone in the Tower and what they have experienced color the nature of that relationship, whereas the naked measurement of time actually spent within it is irrelevant. Where one has gone beyond all places, determines their place recognized by the Tower with an almost karmic precision. This is seen as a separate type of 'place' within the Tower, localized to individuals. The place has no location outside the Tower, has no address or coordinates in any location, but is defined by a series of events with a sequence of narrative logic tied to the substance of the individual's being. It is both its own location and no location at all, or it is all the places and no place at all. Every single individual from the smallest peasant to the most powerful deity has their own place, and elaboration on where that is for everybody extends far beyond the reach of this compendium. The 'place' of a select few individuals are described here, and in this sense are to be seen as malleable paraspacial configurations that have a physical interaction with the geoexistential forces of the Tower. As long as they can 'belong' to the Tower and its people, they can bend and shape the very reality of the place thru active volition of their own destinies. Those who carry this place with their own 'tales' are able to warp and unexpectedly steer the presence of both arteryways and placement of floors, barriers, and physical landmarks simply by, in Ellie's words "belonging where they don't belong."
