Mermith System Arc of Destiny, Ring 2

is where Aphid Mimosa's origin stems from, on floor 92821 in a spacial vacuum stretching 778 million kilometers across. Inside a single planet with two moons sit, each of them teaming with life. Further research revealed two of these moons are artificial, rather than natural bodies, their entire material constructs, effectively massive ships piloted far above the main planet's atmosphere, each containing city streets and a thriving society on every available space across their surface. The planet on archeological and temporal analysis shows it was a planet heavy with nitrates, silicone and carbon dioxide 6 billions of years ago. Within the last billion, basic life forms made of silt and stone began to rise up. They underwent a slow evolution, rising to bipedal formations. While these crystalline beings rose up to prominence right as the origin of another species came to a slow accumulation of advanced sentience, one we'd recognize along the order of coleoptera. Both these gems and beetle-like races took a slow but convergent evolution, becoming more humanoid overtime. The Gem race evolved the ability to shapeshift into anything and take any form, while the Beatles began communing with the fairy fauna of the world and evolving to adapt magical potential into their physiology. The massive quantity of the latter and immense size, power and regeneration of the former lead to an endless period of conflicts over resources and territory. The jewel-like species, even in their primitive tribal stage, gathered into ten tribes, based on different hues to structure a defense against what they considered a rapacious horde, and began a campaign of extermination of these pests. This persecution led to a sleigh of artificial natural selection, and the result was after less than 10,000 years, the beatle-like race accelerated in not only consciousness, but physical form aswell, taking on humanoid shapes and advanced language, technology and social structure. The dynastic order of the Jewel race was soon squared swiftly on the opposite end of its protective purpose. Said to be the victim of a betrayal of one of their own, Pink Jewel, the Beatle race dubbing themselves "Nyutians" established a successive line of their own and began fighting back with increased ardency. With the shepherding of Pink Jewel, the Nyutians developed new technology. They outpaced the Jewels and in a magical arms race, developed sophisticated weapons, ships and armor. The parasitism of Macrauch sloths and alteration of them into effectively insectoid tanks gave them substantial edge, and research into interdimensional fabric manipulation allowed the Nyutians to start exploring other worlds and dimensional spaces. Within only a few millennium, the archaic Jewel race was 'devoured', pushed back constantly with many tribal hues ceasing altogether. The remaining four matriarchs and their followers retreated into the planet's core and colonized the inner space underground, where an uneasy truce was made. With their only opposition silenced and suppressed, the Nyutians found a submitted rival and endless space ahead of them. They performed the unthinkable, developing their dimensional travel to the degree that they could close off their solar system from their native universe, seemingly connecting it to the Tower's spacial membrane in the process. With their homeworld secure in a voided pocket, their objective turned to the worlds they'd found. The Nyutians spread. The Nyutians traveled to every planet and civilization they can find, offering 'peace' and negotiations under the condition of cultural, economic and magical hegemony, and strict forceful colonial measures to those whose couldn't be bought. While the Nyutian's territory and avarice grew, their leaders became fat. The Queen's of their interdimensional kingdom were said to be increasingly eccentric, and drunk on the vast influence they held, often making their mark on new colonizes and old by enforcing whatever personal customs suited that heirs figurative crown, from styles of hats to what food and fruit should be grown in colony-converted-greenhouses. The Nyutian royals were fond of putting ideas in their subjects' heads, and enforcing brutal measures with their magic when their subjects resisted or attempted to maintain cultural autonomy. In Era 6781-01 of their civilization's succession line, came Aphid.

Aphid was said to be a wild child. Her active, energetic nature attested to her passion for love and war, almost as fully as her stomach for violence. The youngest in her lineage to ever successfully master the 5 adaptation forms of the royal wand, the princess possessed more potential than any before in her species, the girl was sure to change the course of history. She was frequently known to have many 'romantic partners' from a day's age, and was fond of wild parties, cute animals, and most of all magic. Attempts to discipline her in and retrain her focus towards more regal pursuits were all but fruitless, with the seldom exception of a desire to fix her hair after combat training. Her favorite spells revolved around summoning monsters, stretching her clothes with Rubbercraft into various armors and eccentric costumes, and using similar shapeshifting effects to modify her wand into about 155 different types of weapons and military equipment. However her aptitude for hyperactivity and 'fun' were seen as an affront to the despotic, regal ways of her family's profession. Aphid was sent to another world where she was expected to learn the respectable ways of discipline, flaunting, and know how to project her superiority in front of other ways and subjects. After substantial bonding, the event ended up having the opposite effect on Aphid, leading her to sympathize with her kingdom's oppressed, fitting in more so than with the royal family. She would go back on the day of her 18th birthday and coronation and announce her plan to voluntarily adopt reforms for her people's enslaved subjects. Before the king and queen could respond, her older sibling, Prince Eleste announced a coup. A decade her older, the Nyutian succession was matriarchal making his position as successor untenable. In a clash, she and her brother bought, with her taking the brunt of the loss. With one less arm, Aphid fled. She found herself being treated to the underground, where a circus of jewels performed away their misery.

While Aphid would take much time to learn of their impoverished condition, her natural upbringing and inclinations- spoiled, chauvinistic, patronizing, would eventually see their distress overcome any generosity or desire to help, causing her to flee and turn herself in to the Nyutian's authorities. Her brother would arrest her and sentence her to a prison colony, where she'd meet various political dissidents, many from other worlds subjugated and punished under Nyutian control. Months with the incarcerated would continue to shape her perspective. With their assistance, she would perform a jailbreak and stow away to a foreign world, with no magic, no weapons or tools and no allies at her disposal. It was from there, standing on a vast desert cliffside Aphid will begin her existential descent into the hardened mindset from future-ruler, to determined liberator. She encountered Ellie along a desert world at a saloon, and after liberating the town from a gang of ork slavers, rescuing a crew of miners and quite literally, painting the town red on her request, Ellie lent her one of her stones and expressed an insistence that Aphid finish her own story, exactly how Aphid wanted to.
